    Your Punto and This Heatwave

Hows the old girl holding up?

I picked mine up from storage on Saturday, ran fine all day and i stayed oop north for the drive home on sunday (98 miles).

Set off about 2pm and it was nearly 26oC outside Anyway was fine for about 45 miles then got over halfway whilst moving and it crept up to a quite a few mm's over halfway (not quite 3/4).

I remembered my GT1 hated the heat and i did the fan mod on it but i thought an unabused GT3 would be fine, i had to have the heaters on full chat and windows down to bring the temps down

Anyway made it home fine but i dont think the K&N was helping sucking in the BBQ heat. Only other thing i cant put it down to is i know the battery is shagged its holding voltage ok but is very low on amps (190ish) compared to the 450 odd it should be.

mine's been good as gold since i changed the thermostat a few months back

stays just above 1/4 normally, and just touches 1/2 when standing.. only had the fans kick in a few times when its been left running to cool the turbo down

Yeh sounds pretty similar to mine then i didnt have a driving issue with it as such, it just felt a bit funny when coming to junctions sometimes like i said when it did creep over half it did come down again.

Dunno whether the heaters did the job or just cooked me a bit more lol.
