    i didnt drive it before the service apart from to the garage, the back fire happens on drop down into or thru 2nd gear now n then uva then that just usual exhaust pops not had much time to work on it past few days but gunna have a go this weekend i have a new coil pack not duin ewt from a gt1 will that be rete?

    it could be a stuck open injector mate had this issue before defo try fuel rail mine used to run like a dog at low speeds but would improve on boost
    also if you have just bought the car
    put key to just before start and listen for internal tank pump if it cuts in and stays humming with out engine started it may well be over fuelling and will cause the same symptoms

    Try a blink test, see if it comes back with anything, search forum on how to do and report any faults. Easy to do and may give some insight in the area to look at. If you disconnect the maf sensor then should ecu should default off stored values and if it runs ok then i'd say replace. But as i say blink test should drop off maf fault if that the cause...
